Ambulatory Center Interior Demolition
As part of a major healthcare redevelopment initiative, Batska led the phased interior demolition of a 200,000-square-foot former corporate office building in Westchester County. This work served as the first stage in transforming the structure into a state-of-the-art multi-specialty ambulatory care center. Batska obtained Department of Buildings permits, coordinated with the interior moving consultant, and managed the general contractor throughout all phases of demolition. Phase 1 included selective removal of architectural components and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Phase 2 encompassed demolition of basement ceilings and lighting, mechanical equipment in the penthouse, restrooms on the north end, precast panels in the west atrium, and components within electrical closets and mechanical shafts. The project established a safe, code-compliant foundation for a comprehensive gut renovation, while also preparing the structure to support the addition of more than one million pounds of new structural steel.
