CT Replacement
The project involves the replacement of an end-of-life CT scanner within the Main Hospital Radiology Department. The need for a new CT scanner is driven by a combination of operational demands, equipment lifecycle considerations, and advancing clinical standards. The need for new equipment supports Work includes enlarging and reconfiguring the existing room footprint to accommodate the spatial, operational, and clearance requirements of the new imaging equipment. The scope also provides for upgraded electrical infrastructure, including increased power amperage, as well as installation of a custom steel floor plate to support equipment weight and manufacturer specifications, while eliminating risk to impacting active in-slab utilities.
Additional improvements include new and modified mechanical, medical gas, and sprinkler systems, low-voltage integration, and a fully renovated control room with updated finishes, optimized sightlines, and improved workflow.
The installation of a new CT scanner supports broader strategic objectives, including improved turnaround times, enhanced emergency response capacity, and seamless integration with evolving radiology software platforms and PACS systems.
