Hospital Roof Replacement
As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital, approximately 10,000 square feet of aging roof systems on the North Tower and its Mechanical Room Penthouse were removed and replaced with a high-performance Tremco protective membrane system. Work was performed above an active medical-surgical unit, requiring meticulous sequencing to maintain a watertight seal and minimize disruption to patient care. An exterior stair tower was installed to reduce interior transport of labor and materials, improving cleanliness and safety throughout the hospital. Construction was coordinated around active mechanical and rooftop cellular equipment without impacting their operation. The new roofing system significantly increases the hospital’s thermal efficiency, reduces emissions and operating costs, and extends the long-term service life of the facility’s building envelope.
