Inpatient Ambulatory Surgery Unit

This project involved the 15,000-square-foot build-out of an existing Surgical Suite within an active hospital, executed as a complex, multi-phased renovation. The scope included a new Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) with 13 prep and recovery bays, two Endoscopy rooms, one minor procedure room, new male and female locker rooms, a staff lounge, and an updated registration and waiting area. Ancillary support spaces were fully integrated, including soiled utility rooms, clean workrooms, multi-purpose rooms, storage areas, medication stations, and a central control station. Locker and administrative areas were decanted to maintain hospital operations while construction proceeded. Extensive phasing and coordination with hospital staff ensured uninterrupted patient care, strict adherence to infection control protocols, and full compliance with life safety requirements. The completed project delivers a fully modernized surgical suite, enhancing operational efficiency, patient experience, and clinical capabilities in a fully active hospital environment.
