Outpatient Imaging Facility
This design-build project involved the full renovation of a former retail storefront to create a 9,000-square-foot outpatient imaging facility for a joint venture between NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group and ColumbiaDoctors Imaging.
The project included an extensive design and full Department of Health (DOH) submission, as well as structural reinforcements and a gut renovation to accommodate two MRIs (3T and 1.5T), CT scan, X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, and clinical and ancillary rooms. Comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades were completed, including new boiler and dedicated mechanical and electrical rooms. To meet the client’s aggressive schedule, an A/E Self-Certification for DOH approval was successfully employed, streamlining regulatory compliance. Coordinated planning, design, and construction efforts allowed the project to be delivered three months ahead of schedule, providing a state-of-the-art imaging environment that supports advanced diagnostics and patient care.
